I get many questions about how to find polycarbonate sheets and profiles needed to build a greenhouse. I have found that the best way to handle this is breaking the project into several parts. You will find each part and then add everything together to get the Bill of your last material. I will show you an example of how I will look for a 12 x 24 greenhouse with 6 ‘side walls and peak heights 8’. Your roof panel will be 6 ‘6 “. This gives you a little less than 3” overhang on the roof panel. Profiles come in the following length.
H Profile (connecting sheet side by side) 12 ‘or 24’
Profile R (Road Profile) 12 ‘or 24’
Profile u (cover this sheet, used at the top and bottom of the sheet) 12 ‘
F Profile (for angles or flashing) 12 ‘or 24’
Roof
I will look for one side and then double with 2.
Each side will have 6 sheets with a width of 4 ‘by 6’ 6 “.
When you are looking for H’s (side by side ポリカーボネート板 sheet connector) you simply reduce 1 of the total sheet on each side. So, for this example, you need 5 hours at 7 ‘. You want to order 5 hours at 12 ‘, because this is the length. You don’t want to use “patched together” on your roof (or anytime).
If you use polycarbonate r or ridge, you will need one part at 24 ‘.
To find you, you need to find a linear total foot for the bottom and peak sheet. The exception to this is if you use the ridge. Ridge has undergone the same goal as u at the top of the sheet. So, because we use the ridge we need 24 ‘from u, or 2 pieces at 12’.
Duplicate this with 2 and you are done.
Side wall
